REGULATIONS UNDER THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT 1914-1916.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the War Precautions Act 1914-1916, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendments of the War Precautions (Dairy Produce Pool) Regulations (Statutory Rules 1918, No. 278).

Regulation 11 (b)of the War Precautions (Dairy Produce Pool) Regulations is amended by the substitution of the word “suppliers” for the word “retailers.”

Regulation 13 of the War Precautions (Dairy Produce Pool) Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

“(2) For the purposes of this regulation a sale of butter and cheese for oversea ships’ stores shall be deemed to be a sale for export.”

Regulation 25 of the War Precautions (Dairy Produce Pool) Regulations is amended by the addition at the end thereof of the following:—

“and may also, by notice published in the Gazette, or served on merchants, agents, cold store proprietors, and others, require any merchants, agents, cold store proprietors, and others to furnish such returns relating to butter and/or cheese as may be deemed necessary by the Committee.”
