REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1918.

I,SIR ARTHUR LYULPH STANLEY, Deputy of the Governor-General in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1918 to come into operation forthwith.

Amendments of War Financial Regulations.

War Financial Regulations are amended as follows:—

Regulation 32:—(1) In sub-paragraph 1, of sub-regulation (a), next after the words “New Zealand” are inserted the words “or in the United Kingdom”.

To take effect as from 1st August, 1918.

(2) The amendments made in sub-regulation (a) by Statutory-Rules 1918, No. 161, shall take effect as from 5th April, 1918.

(3) Sub-regulation (b). Next after the words “rate of pay higher than that of Private” are inserted the words “but less than that of Corporal.”

To take effect as from 5th April, 1918.

(4) Next after sub-regulation (b) is inserted the following sub-regulation:—

“(b.a.)Separation Allowance at the rate of 6d. per diem each shall be payable for all children as in sub-paragraphs 2, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 of sub-regulation (a)of this regulation, dependent on Warrant and Non-Commissioned Officers of the Australian Imperial Force from the rank of Corporal up to 1st Class Warrant Officer inclusive.”

To take effect as from 5th April, 1918.

(5) Sub-regulation (d) is repealed.

To take effect as from 5th April, 1918.

(6) Sub-regulation (f) is amended by adding the words “or the United Kingdom”.

To take effect as from 1st August, 1918.

 

Regulation 41.—The amendment made by Statutory Rules 1918, No. 107, shall take effect as from 28th February, 1917.

Next after regulation 52 the following regulation is inserted. To take effect as from 1st August, 1918:—

Regulation 57a.—The amendment made by Statutory Rules 1918, No. 161 shall take effect as from 5th April, 1918.
