STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1918.

advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

Amendment of War Financial Regulations.
War Financial Regulations are amended as follow:—
(1) Next after regulation 8 is inserted the following regulation (to take effect as from 15th August, 1918):—
“8a. Officers appointed as Draft Conducting Officers to accompany reinforcements during the voyage shall be paid at the rate of £350 per annum, irrespective of rank and inclusive of all allowances.”
(2) Regulation 21 is repealed and the following regulation made in lieu thereof:—
“21. Nurses and Masseuses on appointment to the Australian Imperial Force shall receive an outfit allowance of £26 5s. under the conditions of and for the purposes prescribed in Standing Orders for the Australian Imperial Force. Nurses appointed for duty in Australia and who later are detailed for duty abroad shall receive an allowance of £2 10s. for the purchase of a cabin trunk.”
(3) Next after regulation 53 is inserted the following regulation (to take effect as from 15th August, 1918):—
“53a. The following shall be the scale of rates of pay of Quartermasters at Military Hospitals:—

(4) Regulation 62 is repealed and the following regulation made in lieu thereof:—
“62. Nurses and Masseuses appointed for duty in Australia shall receive an outfit allowance of £23 15s. under the conditions of and for the purposes prescribed in Standing Orders for the Australian Imperial Force.”
