An Act to provide for the Exchange of certain Crown Land in the Parish of Wangerrip and certain Land in the Parish of Barwongemoong and for other purposes.
Preamble
WHEREAS Bryce Leslie Johnson and Lillian Ann Johnson are, as tenants in common in equal shares, the registered proprietors of land in fee simple described in Crown Grant Volume 5914 Folium 681 and shown hatched on the plan in Schedule One:
AND WHEREAS land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule Two is land of the Crown:
AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule One be surrendered to Her Majesty and that in exchange therefor the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule Two be granted in fee simple to the said Bryce Leslie Johnson and Lillian Ann Johnson as tenants in common in equal shares:
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Victoria in this present Parliament assembled and by the Authority of the same as follows (that is to say):
1.Short title and commencement
(1)This Act may be cited as the Wangerrip (Land Exchange) Act 1980.
(2)This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
2.Exchange of land
Upon the registration in the Office of Titles of a transfer and surrender to Her Majesty of the land described and shown hatched on the plan in Schedule One—
(a)the said land shall become and be unalienated land of the Crown freed and discharged from all trusts encumbrances limitations and restrictions whatsoever and from every estate or interest therein; and
(b)the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule Two may, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Land Act 1958, be granted to Bryce Leslie Johnson and Lillian Ann Johnson as tenants in common in equal shares in fee-simple subject to such covenants conditions exceptions and reservations as the Governor in Council thinks fit.
3.No compensation payable by Crown
No compensation shall be payable by the Crown in respect of any act, matter or thing done under or arising out of this Act.

Land in the Parish of Barwongemoong shown hatched which may be transferred to Her Majesty, being Allotment 77, and being the land described in Crown Grant Volume 5914 Folio 681.
