th e same, as follows ;—
| Short title. | 1 . This Act may he cited as the “ Wagga Wagga Flood Relief Fund Act, 1919.” |
| Trustees’ | |
| duty. | 2 . The trustees of the Wagga Wagga Flood Relief Fund raised in the years one thousand eight hundred and seventy and one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one, shall pay to the council of the municipality of "Wagga Wagga the balance of moneys remaining at credit of that fund (which shall include all additions of interest thereto) after payment of any known liabilities. |
| Couiicirs | 3 . The said council shall hold the said moneys in trust, and shall use them for the discharge of any unpaid liabilities of the said trustees; and subject thereto may at its discretion use the same— |
| powers. |
| (a) | for the aid of persons suffering because of floods occurring in the municipality ; or |
| (b) | for the construction of rvorks for the purpose of mitigating or preventing floods. |
