TH';;: amended. by subsequent Acts), in certain WAGES AOT AMENDMENT Aar OF 1937. particulars. [ASSENTED TO 18TH NOVEMBER, 1937.] B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queenslandin Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- Short title 1. This Act may be cited as "The Wages Act and t t' Amendment Act of 1937," and shall be read as one with cons ruc lon.*" The Wages Act of 1918" (as amended by subsequent Acts), herein referred to as the Principal Act. Collective The Principal Act and this Act may collectively·be title. cited as " The Wages Acts, 1918 to 1937." Amendments of the Principal Act. Amendment 2. Section thirty-four of the Principal Act is of B. 34. amended by being renumbered subsection one of section thirty-four, and the said section is hereby further amended by the addition thereto of the following new subsections two and three, namely:- Recovery of "(2.) (3.) Section thirty-five of the Principal Act is hereby Amendment amended by repealing therein the words " The summons of s. 35. mentioned in the last preceding section may, at the option of the worker," and by inserting in lieu of the words so repealed the words "The summons or application mentioned in the last preceding section may, at the option of the complainant or applicant." 4. Section thirty-six of the Principal Act is hereby Amendment amended by the addition thereto of the following new of s. 36. subsection numbered six, namely ;- " (6.) For the purposes of this section the provisions "Possession" of section thirty-eight, of the *" Mercantile Act of 1867," ~ ~ ecr; ~~ ~ es relating to the possession of any crop or crops, the oft~ subject-matter of a lien under and within the meaning sectIOn. of the said Act, and the whole produce thereof, shall apply and extend in respect of every crop subject to a mortgage within the meaning of this Act, and the whole produce thereof, and whether such mortgage is or is not a lien to which the provisions of the *" Mercantile Act of 1867" apply, and whether such mortgage was effected before, on, or after the passing of t" The Wages Act Amendment Act of 1937."
