W.A. Marine (Surveys and Certificates of

Survey) Amendment Regulations 2009

Certificates of Survey) Regulations 1983.

Made by the Lieutenant-Governor and deputy of the Governor in
Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the W.A. Marine (Surveys and Certificates of Survey) Amendment Regulations 2009.

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on 1 July 2009.

3.            Regulations amended

These regulations amend the W.A. Marine (Surveys and

The fees for examination of plans and for checking stability data [items marked *] allow for returning plans/data to the applicant for one amendment. If further amendment or checking is required, the fee for the surveyors time for checking, examining and approving plans or data is $186.1 0/hour.

2.      The fees for data checking in item 9(a)(i) and (ii) are subject to a 50% reduction if complete technical information is supplied in an electronic form compatible with the software held at the Department.

(Software submission format: HYDROMAX, WOLFSON, MAST.)

3.       Hourly fees are charged per hour or part of an hour.

4.       Fees provided for in this item may be waived if, in the opinion of the chief executive officer -

(a)	the service is delivered in the interest of the Commercial Safety section (e.g. extension of survey where surveyor unavailable); or
(b)	the service is a remedy to an oversight or delay for which the regulations have not allowed (e.g. permit to operate issued if Certificate of Survey is authorised, but cannot be printed).

6.             Schedule 1 item 3 amended In Schedule 1 item 3(c) delete "$72.00' and insert:

$75.00

7.             Schedule 1 item 4 replaced

Delete Schedule 1 item 4 and insert:

4.             Annual exemption fee

(1) The annual exemption fee for a vessel is as set out in the

Table according to the length of the vessel.

Table

1. Vessel does not exceed 5 m ................................... $100.30

2. Vessel exceeds 5 m but does not exceed 10 m $200.60

3. Vessel exceeds 10 m but does not exceed 20 m $370.70

4. Vessel exceeds 20 m but does not exceed 30 m $505.10

(2) The fee payable for recording the transfer of an exempt

vessel is $50.00.
