WA. MARINE AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1998

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Division 1 — Preliminary

(a) in the item relating to regulation 9 (1), by deleting 144.00" and
substituting the following —
" $50.00 ";

Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the W.A. Marine Amendment

Regulations 1998.

Commencement

2. These regulations come into operation on 1 July 1998.

Division 2— W.A. Marine (Certificates of Competency and Safety

Manning) Regulations 1983

Schedule 3 amended

3. Schedule 3 to the W.A. Marine (Certificates of Competency and Safety
Manning) Regulations 1983* is amended in the column headed "Fee"

4.     Regulation 4 (2) (e) of the W.A. Marine (Hire and Drive Vessels)

Regulations 1983* is amended -

(a)

in substituted clause 3.1.2 (1) (b), by deleting "$234" and substituting the following -

$235 ";and

(b)

in substituted clause 3.1.2 (3) (b), by deleting "$116" and substituting the following -

$117 ".

6.      In this Division, the W.A. Marine (Surveys and Certificates of Survey)

Regulations 1983* are referred to as the principal regulations.

Schedule 1 amended

7.     (1) Schedule 1 to the principal regulations is amended by deleting

item 1 (a) and substituting the following -

(a) Subject to paragraph (b), the standard fees for examination of

2.     Hourly fees are charged per hour or part of an hour.

(4) Schedule 1 to the principal regulations is amended by deleting

item 4 and substituting the following item -

4.   Annual exemption fee

The annual exemption fee where the length of the vessel -

(a) does not exceed 5 metres:  $49
(b) exceeds 5 metres but does not exceed $97

10 metres:

(c) exceeds 10 metres but does not exceed $179

20 metres:

(d) exceeds 20 metres:  $244
Recording of transfer of vessel:  $24
