Force Regulation Act of 1867” as relates to

Free Grants of Crown Lands to Volunteers.

"YTTHEllEAS by the “ Volunteer Eoree Llegulatiou Act of 1807”

V V and hy the Act thirty-ninth A'ietoria nnmher twelve amending the

same it is provided that every Officer Non-commissioned Olhcer and A^olnnteer under the said Act (not being on the paid stall of or serving for regular pay in any A^olnnteer Eoree) shall h(̂ entitled after having served as an efficient Volunteer for a continuous period of five years on and after the first day of .January one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight to receive from the Government in consideration of his efficient service a free grant of fifty acres of such land as may he open to conditional sale under the thirteenth section of the “ Crown I^aiuls Alienation Act of 18(51” And it is further provided tliat certain stated periods of past efficient service shall count for certain specified tei'ins of the continuous service so as aforesaid prescribed as necessary hy the said “ Amluntccr Eoree llcgulation A d of 1867” And Avhereas it is expedient that so much of the said recited ]>rovisions of the said Acts as relate to such free Grants Eegrdations and Certificates should he repealed Be it therefore enacted l)y tlie (Queen’s Most Excellent, Majesty hy and Avith tlic advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of N cav South AVales in Parliament assembled and hy autliority of the same as folloAvs :—
