1. Citation
These regulations are the Vocational Education and Training
(General) Amendment Regulations 2011. Vocational Education and Training Act 1996

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
25 October 2011 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, WA 4509 2. Commencement
These regulations come into operation as follows -
(a) regulations 1 and 2— on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette; (b) the rest of the regulations - on the day after that day. 3. Regulations amended
These regulations amend the Vocational Education and
Training (General) Regulations 2009.4. Regulation 7 amended
(1) In regulation 7(1) delete the definition of registration
standards.(2) In regulation 7(1) insert in alphabetical order: continuing registration requirements means the AQTF
Essential Conditions and Standards for Continuing
Registration (published by the Commonwealth of
Australia);
initial registration requirements means the AQTF
Essential Conditions and Standards for Initial
Registration (published by the Commonwealth of
Australia);registration requirements means -
(a) the initial registration requirements; and (b) the continuing registration requirements;
5. Regulation 8 amended
Delete regulation 8(2)(a) and insert:
(a) the registration requirements; and
6. Regulation 12 amended
Delete regulation 12(3)(a) and (b) and insert:
(a)
the provider complies with the conditions of registration, and meets the standards, in the initial registration requirements; or
(b)
a compliance audit has been conducted on the provider within the previous 3 months and the provider has been found to comply with those conditions of registration and to meet those standards; or

7. Regulation 13 amended
(1) Delete regulation 13(1)(a) and insert:
(a) the conditions of registration in the continuing
registration requirements; and
(2) In regulation 13(2):
(a) delete paragraph (a) and insert: (a) the provider must meet the standards in the
continuing registration requirements;
(b) delete paragraph (c).
(3) Delete regulation 13(4) and insert:
(4) Any condition imposed under subregulation (3) must
be consistent with the continuing registration
requirements.
8. Regulation 16 amended
Delete regulation 16(3)(a)(ii) and insert:
(ii) the provider meets the standards in the
continuing registration requirements;
and
9. Regulation 17 amended
Delete regulation 17(4)(a) and (b) and insert:
(a) the provider meets the standards in the continuing registration requirements; or (b) a compliance audit has been conducted on the provider within the previous 3 months and the provider has been found to meet those standards,
10. Regulation 19 amended
Delete regulation 19(1)(d) and insert:
(d) the provider does not meet the standards in the
continuing registration requirements;

(1) Delete regulation 22(1)(a) and insert: (a) the provider does not meet the standards in the
continuing registration requirements;
(2) Delete regulation 22(3)(a) and insert: (a) must be consistent with the continuing
registration requirements; and
12. Regulation 24 amended
In regulation 24 in the definition of compliance audit delete
"the registration standards." and insert:the relevant registration requirements.
13. Regulation 27 amended
In regulation 27(2)(b) delete "registration standards" and insert:
continuing registration requirements
