Vocational Education and Training Amendment

Regulations (No. 2) 1999

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.           Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Vocational Education and
Training Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 1999.

2.           Commencement

7A.	Superannuation
For the purposes of the Superannuation and Family department within the first paragraph of the definition
of that term in that Act.

(1)	These regulations, other than regulation 3, come into operation on the day on which they are published in the Gazette.
(2)	Regulation 3 is taken to have come into operation on the day on which section 67(2)(c) of the Act came into operation.
3.	Schedule 4 to the Act amended Schedule 4 to the Act is amended by inserting the following clause after clause 7 —

4.            The regulations amended

The amendments in regulations 5 and 6 are to the Vocational
Education and Training Regulations 1996*.

5.            Regulation iSA amended

Regulation 15A(4) is amended in the definition of "Australian resident" by deleting paragraph (b) and inserting the following paragraph instead -

(b) holds -
(1) a permanent visa; or
(ii) a visa of sub-class 309, 310, 820 or 826,

within the meaning of the Migration
Act 1958 of the Commonwealth.

6.            Schedule 1 amended

Schedule 1 is amended as follows:

(a) in item 5(a) by deleting "50" and inserting instead -

46 60 ";

(b) in item 5(b) by deleting "$1.00," and inserting instead -

,

(c) in item 5(1) by deleting "$182.50;" and inserting instead -

44 $210.00;

(d) in item 5(11) by deleting "$365.00." and inserting instead -

44 $420.00.

(e) by deleting item 8 and inserting the following item

instead -

8.       Enrolment fee per semester (reg. 19).............20.00
