VIDEO TAPES CLASSIFICATION AND CONTROL AMENDMENT

REGULATIONS 1993

Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council.

Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the Video Tapes Classification And

Control Amendment Regulations 1993.

Commencement

2.      These regulations come into operation on the day on which the Censorship

Principal regulations

3.      In these regulations the Video Tapes Classification and Control Regulations

1988* are referred to as the principal regulations.

Regulation 5 amended

4.      Regulation 5 of the principal regulations is amended —

(a) in subregulation (1) --

(i)       by deleting "and" after paragraph (c); and

(ii)      by inserting after paragraph (c) the following paragraph —

" (ea) in the case of a video tape classified as an

"MA" video tape —

(i)      the words "Restrictions apply to persons under 15 years"; and

(ii)      a symbol consisting of the letters MA enclosed within, but not touched by, a hexagon;

and

and

(b) in subregulation (2) —

(i)       in paragraph (a) by inserting after "(c) (i)" the following —

,(ca) (i) "; and

(ii)      in paragraph (b) by inserting after "(c) (ii)" the following —

,(ca) (ii) ".
