Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1]        On 25 March 2014 the Victorian Showmen’s Guild lodged with the Fair Work

Commission the prescribed information in relation to an election for the following offices:

President (1)
Vice-Presidents (10)
Committee (9)
Secretary (1)
Treasurer (1)
Trustees (2)

[2] The Victorian Showmen’s Guild has also requested an election be conducted for the office of Vice-President. In accordance with rule 16.4.1 and 16.7 of The Victorian Showmen’s Guild rules, the candidates for Committee Member receiving the ten highest number of votes shall be declared elected to the office of Vice-President. The candidates receiving the next nine highest number of votes shall be declared elected to the office of Committee Member.

[3]        I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed offices is required to be held under

the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3) of the Fair Work (Registered

Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the conduct of the election by the

Australian Electoral Commission.
