Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1]        On 21 March 2016 the Victorian Showmen's Guild (the organisation) lodged with the

Fair Work Commission the prescribed information in relation to an election for the following

offices:

President

Secretary

Treasurer

Trustees (2)

Committee Members (19, of which 10 will be Vice-Presidents as discussed below)

[2]        The organisation has also requested an election be conducted for the office of Vice-

President. In accordance with rules 16.4.1 and 16.7 of the organisation’s rules, the 10

candidates receiving the highest number of votes shall be declared elected to the office of Vice-

President. The next nine candidates receiving the highest number of votes shall be declared

elected to the office of Committee Member.

[3]         I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed offices is required to be held under

the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3) of the Fair Work (Registered

Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the conduct of the election by the

Australian Electoral Commission.
