Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 1998

Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Amendment (Schedule 1) Rules 2025

The Rules Committee established by section 150 of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 1998 makes the following Rules:

1Object

The object of these Rules is to amend the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Rules 2018 to amend the functions of—

(a)the review and regulation list;

(b)the guardianship list; and

(c)the planning and environment list.

2Authorising provisions

These Rules are made under section 157 of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 1998 and all other enabling powers.

3Commencement

These Rules come into operation on 21 October 2025.

4Review and Regulation List

(1)In clause 3(1) of Schedule 1 to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Rules 2018[1], after item 3.51 insert—

"3.51AANational Electricity (Victoria) Act 2005;".

(2)In clause 3(1) of Schedule 1 to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Rules 2018, after item 3.84 insert—

"3.84AATobacco Act 1987;".

5Guardianship List

In clause 7(1) of Schedule 1 to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Rules 2018, before item 7.1 insert—

"7.1AAAAged Care Restrictive Practices Substitute Decision-maker Act 2024;".

6Planning and Environment List

In clause 10(1) of Schedule 1 to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Rules 2018, after item 10.2 insert—

"10.2ACircular Economy (Waste Reduction and Recycling) Act 2021;".
