Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal

(Amendment No. 10) Rules 2002

The Rules Committee established by section 157 of the makes the following Rules:

1. Object

The object of these Rules is make certain amendments to the Principal Rules concerning contempt of the Tribunal.

2. Authorising provisions

These Rules are made under section 157 of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 1998 and all other enabling powers.

3. Commencement

These Rules come into operation on 1 January

2003.

4. Amendments to warrant provisions

(1) Rule 4.20(1) of the Victorian Civil and

Administrative Tribunal Rules 19981 is revoked.

(2) For Rule 4.20(2) of the Victorian Civil and

Administrative Tribunal Rules 1998 substitute—

"(2) For the purposes of section 137(2)(b) of the

Act, the prescribed form of warrant is
Form 6 of Schedule 2.".

5. Revocation of and amendment to Forms

In Schedule 2 to the Victorian Civil and

Administrative Tribunal Rules 1998—

(a) Form 5 is revoked;

(b) in Form 6—

(i) omit "Appeals";

(ii)

for "contempt of the Tribunal," follows [insert details of the charge],";

(c) this Tribunal" substitute "the Victorian Civil
and Administrative Tribunal as follows in Form 7, for "this Tribunal and ordered by by the Tribunal".
