  1. Name of regulation

    This regulation is the Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance) Amendment Regulation 2025 (No 1).

  2. Commencement

    This regulation commences on 1 July 2025.

    NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

  3. Legislation amended

    This regulation amends the Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance) Regulation 2016.

  4. Section 5 (1)

    (1)The following amounts are prescribed:

    (a)for a primary victim—$65 534;

    (b)for a class A related victim—$39 318;

    (c)for a class B related victim—$26 213;

    (d)for a class C related victim—$13 105;

    (e)for a homicide witness—$13 105.
