Victims of Crime Assistance (Delegation) Regulations 2013

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe the maximum amount of an interim award of assistance that may be made by a delegate under the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 1996.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 72 of the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 1996.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 15 December 2013.

4Revocation

The following Regulations are revoked

(a)the Victims of Crime Assistance (Delegation) Regulations 2003[1];

(b)the Victims of Crime Assistance (Delegation) Amendment Regulations 2008[2].

5Interim award of assistance by a delegate

For the purposes of section 24(1A) of the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 1996, the prescribed amount is $5000.

1.     General Information

The Victims of Crime Assistance (Delegation) Regulations 2013,
S.R. No. 138/2013 were made on 12 November 2013 by the Governor in Council under section 72 of the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 1996, No. 81/1996 and came into operation on 15 December 2013: regulation 3.

The Victims of Crime Assistance (Delegation) Regulations 2013 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 12 November 2023 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).

2.     Table of Amendments

There are no amendments made to the Victims of Crime Assistance (Delegation) Regulations 2013 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
