VICTIMS COMPENSATION ACT 1996 NO 115—

PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) G. SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Victims Compensation Act 1996, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 2 April 1997 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Act on 2 April 1997.

Clauses 1 , 2 and 3 of Schedule 3 to the Act commenced on the date of assent to the Act (see section 2 (2) of the Act).
