Veterinary Surgeons Amendment Regulations 2002

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1987 .7 October 2002

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Veterinary Surgeons Amendment Regulations 2002 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Veterinary Surgeons Regulations 1988 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 9 rescinded Regulation 9 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded. 5Schedule 2 amended (Fees) Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by omitting item 6 and substituting the following:

Annual registration fee under section 22 of the Act –

(a) for primary registration

(b) for secondary registration

(b) by omitting items 7 and 8 .

These regulations are administered in the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation) These regulations amend the

(a) providing for a fee for secondary registration; and (b) making a minor amendment consequential upon the Veterinary Surgeons Amendment Act 2001.
