VE~ ~ ARY SURGEONS [ASSENTED TO 9TH DECEMBER, 1946.] AJlIE~ ~ ~ IiNT ACT OF B E it enacted by the Killg'S Most Excellent "Majesty, 1946. by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows;- 1. This Act may be cited as "The Veterinary Short title Surgeons Act Amendmtnt A~t of 1946," and shall be :!struction. read as one with *" The Veterinary Surgeons Act of 1936," herein referred to as the Principal Act. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively ~olleC'tive cited as " The Veterinary Surgeons Acts, 1936 to 1946." tltle. Amendments of the Principal Act. 2. Subsection one of section four of the Principal Amendment Act is amended by repealing the words" Dean of the of s. 4 (1). Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Queens- land" and by inserting the words "Under Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Stock" in lieu of such repealed words. 3. Subsection one of section twenty-five of the Amendment Principal Act is amended by inserting after the first ofs. 25( 1). paragraph thereof the following paragraph, namely;- " A person shall not at any time- (i.) By advertisement or in any other manner whatsoever hold out to the public, or to any section or class of the public, that he will do any act or thing of or pertaining to veterinary surgery; or ( ii.) Do any act or thing of or pertaining to veterinary surgery for or in consideration of any fee or other remuneration whatsoever, unless such person is at such time registered under this Act as a veterinary surgeon." 4. Subclause one of clause two of the Schedule to the Amendment Principal Act is repealed and the following subclause is ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ule. inserted in lieu thereof, namely ;- " (1.) Meetings, other than special meetings, of the Board shall be held at the discretion of the Registrar." * 1 E. 8 No. 17.
