(Fees) Regulation 2001

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1986.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Veterinary Surgeons Regulation 1995 (the Principal Regulation) so as to alter certain fees payable under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1986 relating to veterinary surgeons and veterinary hospitals.

This Regulation also:

(a)

adds new fees to the Principal Regulation as follows:

(i)	the fee for the inspection of the register of veterinary surgeons or the register of specialists,
(ii)	the fee for providing a duplicate certificate of registration,
(iii)	the fee for the Board of Veterinary Surgeons to provide a Letter of Professional Standing in respect of a person registered under the Act, and

(b)

removes from the Principal Regulation the distinction relating to registration and annual roll fees payable by persons employed under Part 2 of the Public Sector Management Act 1988 or the Zoological Parks Board Act 1973 and other persons not employed under those Acts.

Explanatory note

This Regulation is made under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1986, including the various provisions referred to in the amendment made by this Regulation, and section 71 (the general regulation-making power) and, in particular, section 71 (1) (f) and (f1).

1. Name of Regulation

   This Regulation is the Veterinary Surgeons Amendment (Fees)

   Regulation 2001.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 28 September 2001.

1. Amendment of Veterinary Surgeons Regulation 1995

   The Veterinary Surgeons Regulation 1995 is amended as set out in

   Schedule 1.

4 Notes

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.
