VETERINARY PREPARATIONS AND ANIMAL FEEDING STUFFS (ANIMAL
ORIGIN FEEDING STUFFS) AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1998

Made on the recommendation of the Minister by the Governor in Executive Council.
Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Veterinary Preparations and Animal Feeding
Stuffs (Animal Origin Feeding Stuffs) Amendment Regulations 1998.
Principal regulations

2. In these regulations the Veterinary Preparations and Animal Feeding Stuffs (Animal

Origin Feeding Stuffs) Regulations 1997* are referred to as the principal regulations.

Regulation 2 amended

3. (1) Regulation 2 (1) of the principal regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting the definition of "ruminant material"; and
(b)	by inserting in the appropriate alphabetical position the following definition —

"

"mammalian material" means tissue from a mammal but does not

include —

(a)	tallow or gelatin;
(b)	milk products; or
(c)	any products consisting of entirely porcine or equine material;

".

(2) Regulation 2 (2) (a) is amended by deleting "ruminant material" and substituting

the following —
" mammalian material ".
Regulation 4 amended

4.  Regulation 4 (1) is amended by deleting "ruminant material" in the 2 places where it

occurs and substituting in each place the following —
" mammalian material ".
Regulation 5 amended

5. (1) Regulation 5 (1) is amended by deleting "ruminant material" and substituting the

following —

"	mammalian material " .
(2) Regulation 5 (2) is amended by deleting "ruminant material" and substituting the

following —
" mammalian material ".
