1  Name of determination

This determination is the Veterans’ Entitlements (Warlike Service—Operation ARIKI) Determination 2014.

2  Commencement

This determination is taken to have commenced on 1 December 2001.

3  Authority

This determination is made under subsection 5C(1) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986.

4  Definitions

In this determination:

Act means the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986.

5  Warlike service

For subsection 5C(1) of the Act, service in an operation mentioned in an item of the following table is warlike service for the purposes of the Act if:

(a)  the service is in an area of operation mentioned in the item; and

(b)  the service is during a period mentioned in the item.
