Veterans’ Entitlements Regulations2

(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 August 1986.

Exempt class of persons for purposes of sub-section 84 (6) of the Act

2. Regulation 5 of the Veterans’ Entitlements Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting “84 (7)” and substituting “84 (6)”; and

(b) by omitting “sub-section 84 (6) of the Act” and substituting “that sub-section”.

Travelling expenses under section 110 or 132 of the Act

3. Regulation 9 of the Veterans’ Entitlements Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (7) “11.16” and substituting “12.28”;

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (8) “$40” and substituting “$43”;

(c) by omitting from paragraphs (10) (a) and (b) “$5” and substituting “$5.50”; and

(d) by omitting from paragraph (10) (c) “$12” and substituting “$13”.
