AN ACT to amend the Vermin Act, 1918-1954.
[Assented to 17th January, 1957.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act
may be cited as the Vermin Act, 1918-1956.
2. Section one hundred and three of the principal $.103
| Act is amended— | amended. |
| (a) | by substituting for the word, "Every" being the first word in subsection (1), the passage, "Subject to the provisions of subsection (8) of this section, every"; |
| (b) | by adding after the word, "year" in line fifteen of subsection (1), the passage, "to, and including the financial year ending on the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-six," and |
| (c) | by adding after subsection (7), the following subsection: |
(8) (a) In the financial year com- mencing on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-six, and in each financial year thereafter, the Treasurer shall cause to be paid to the credit of the account mentioned in sub- section (3) of this section from land tax collected pursuant to the Land Tax Assessment Act, 1907-1956, a sum of one hundred thousand pounds or any greater amount approved by the Treasurer.
Sums paid into that account under this subsection may be used in payment of the matters mentioned in subsection (3) of this section.
(b)
(c) The provisions of this subsection do not prejudice the operation of subsec- tion (2) of this section in relation to recovery of payment of rates imposed under subsection (1) of this section before the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-six.
3. This Act shall continue in operation until the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight and no longer.
