AN ACT to amend the Vermin Aet, 1918.

[Assented to 23rd December, 1929.]

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the Vermin Act Amendment Short title.

2. Section one hundred (a) of the Vermin Act, 1918, is Meoterent of

hereby amended by the insertion, at the end of the first sub-

section thereof, of a proviso, as follows:—

Provided further, that no rate shall be assessed or be demised to be imposed or payable, for the financial year commencing on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, or for any subsequent finan- cial year in respect of any holding which is owned by or on behalf of any religious body or is exclusively used for the purposes of a public hospital, benevolent asylum, or orphanage, or for other charitable purposes.
