VEHICLE STANDARDS AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1990

Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council.
Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Vehicle Standards Amendment
Regulations 1990.
Principal regulations

2.    In these regulations the Vehicle Standards Regulations 1977* are referred

to as the principal regulations.

Regulation 103B amended

3.    Regulation 103B of the principal regulations is amended in paragraph (b)

by inserting after "1002 (4)," the following-

" 1004, ".

Regulation 1004 amended

4.    Regulation 1004 of the principal regulations is amended—

(a) in subregulation (2) by deleting "A siren," and substituting the following-

" Subject to subregulation (4), a siren, ";

and

(b) by inserting after subregulation (3) the following subregulation-

" (4) Subregulation (2) does not apply to an anti-theft device intended to be triggered involuntarily by the attempted theft of, or interference with, a vehicle and which emits as a consequence a single, repeated or varying clearly audible sound. ".
