1          LEGISLATIVE PROVISIONS

1.1       NAME OF LEGISLATIVE INSTRUMENT

1.1.1    This instrument is the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 83/00 – External Noise) 2005 Amendment 1.

1.1.2    This Standard may also be cited as ADR 83/00 Amendment 1.

1.2       COMMENCEMENT

1.2.1    This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

2          AMENDMENT OF VEHICLE STANDARD

2.1.1    The changes specified in Schedule 1 amend Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 83/00 – External Noise) 2005

SCHEDULE 1

[1]        Amend clause 2.2.4 to read:

“2.2.4   from 29 February 2008 in relation to vehicles produced on or after 29 February 2008 with an engine that operates on diesel, liquefied petroleum gas or natural gas and with a GVM greater than 3.5 tonnes, other than new model vehicles referred to in clause 2.2.3A.”
