1. LEGISLATIVE PROVISIONS

1.1.Name of Legislative Instrument

1.1.1.This instrument is the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 2/00 – Side Door Latches and Hinges) 2006 Amendment 1.

1.2.Commencement

1.2.1.This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

1. AMENDMENT OF VEHICLE STANDARD

2.1.The changes specified in Schedule 1 amend Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 2/00 – Side Door Latches and Hinges) 2006.

SCHEDULE 1

1. Clause 2.0.3.2 Insert two new sentences after  “……..vehicles and removes reference to ‘only applies if fitted with side door(s)’ from front page”  that read:

“Vehicles certified to ADR 2/01 or a later version need not comply with this vehicle standard.

MD, NB and NC category vehicles need not comply with this vehicle standard after 10 May 2006.”
