I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, make the following regulations under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 .15 December 2003

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment Regulations (No. 3) 2003 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2000 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 117 amended (Medical examinations) Regulation 117(1) of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by omitting from paragraph (a) "Assessing Fitness to Drive" and substituting "Assessing Fitness to Drive for Commercial and Private Vehicle Drivers September 2003"; (b) by omitting from paragraph (b) "Medical Examinations of Commercial Vehicle Drivers published by the National Road Transport Commission and the Federal Office of Road Safety" and substituting "Assessing Fitness to Drive for Commercial and Private Vehicle Drivers September 2003 published by Austroads Inc.".
