Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2003

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 .25 August 2003

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2003 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on 1 October 2003. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2000 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Schedule 2 amended (Demerit Points Offences) Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting after item 177 the following item:

Drive using hand-held mobile phone (when moving or stationary, but not parked)
