I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 .11 August 2008

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment (Health Care Card Concessions) Regulations 2008 . 2CommencementThese regulations are taken to have taken effect on 1 July 2008. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2000 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation) The definition of pensioner in regulation 3(1) of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by inserting in paragraph (b) "or" after "Act;"; (b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (b) : (c) who is the holder of a health care card issued in accordance with the Social Security Act 1991 of the Commonwealth;
