I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 .30 November 2009

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment (Community Transport) Regulations 2009 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2000 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 40A amended (Exemptions for certain public passenger vehicle drivers) Regulation 40A(1)(b) of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "1 January 2010" and substituting "1 January 2011".
