An Act to amend the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Vehicle and Traffic Amendment (Power-Assisted Pedal Cycles) Act 2014 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 3 amended (Interpretation) Section 3(1) of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after paragraph (c) in the definition of motor vehicle the following paragraph: (ca) a power-assisted pedal cycle within the meaning of the relevant ADR; or 5Repeal of ActThis Act is repealed on the three hundred and sixty fifth day from the day on which it commences.
