48 Valuers Registration Act Amendment Act 1984, No. 7 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Valuers Registration Act Amendment Act 1984. 2. Principal Act and citation as amended . (1) In this Act the Valuers Registration Act 1965-1979 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Valuers Registration Act 1965-1984. 3. Amendment of s. 24D. Procedure and Board ' s determination following application and any objection . Section 24D of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after subsection (2) the following subsection:- (2A) (a) Where an applicant for a licence- (i) is an officer or employee of the Commonwealth or of a Commonwealth statutory corporation; and (ii) is a registered or licensed valuer under the law of another State or a Territory of the Commonwealth but does not satisfy either of the requirements of provision 2. (2) (b) of section 13, the Board may grant the application for the licence without the imposition of geographical limits within which the applicant may value; and the licence shall be issued accordingly. (b) Neither subsection (lA) nor section 24E (2) is applicable in any case of the granting of an application and the issue of a licence pursuant to paragraph (a). (c) A licence that issues pursuant to paragraph (a) shall be subject to the condition that it subsists only whilst its holder is an officer or employee of the Commonwealth or of a Commonwealth statutory corporation and, upon his ceasing to be such officer or employee, the licence thereupon by force of this provision is cancelled and the secretary shall, at the direction of the Board, remove the name and other particulars of that provisional licensed valuer from the register of provisional licensed valuers.".
