HEREAS by an Ordinance

passed in the tenth year of the "amh1'.

reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, No. 7 of 1846, " To amend the Laws relating to Aliens," a certain oath was directed to be taken before (amongst other persons) the Registrar of the Province of South Australia, who was, by such Ordinance, directed to grant a certificate of the taking and subscribing of the said oath: And whereas divers persons ha$-e taken the said oath before the Deputy-Registrar of the said Province, and such Deputy-Registrar hath given certificates of the taking and subscribing the same:

Be it Enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of Certifir:ntes granted

by Dcputy-Registrar

South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative to he valid.

Council of the skrne, That, notwithstanding anything in the said Ordinance contained, every cehificate of the taking and subscribing of the said oath by the aforesaid Ordinance prescribed, heretofore granted and signed by the Deputy-Registrar of the said Province, shall be as effectual, to all intents and purposes whatsoever, as though the same certificate had been granted and signed by, and

the oath therein referred to had been taken before, the Registrar-

General aforesaid.
