Application for variation of the Urbis Electrical Pty Ltd Enterprise Agreement 2012-2016.

[1]        An application has been made for approval of a variation to an enterprise agreement

known as the Urbis Electrical Pty Ltd Enterprise Agreement 2012-2016 (Agreement). The

application was made pursuant to s.210 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Act). It has been made by

Urbis Electrical Pty Ltd. The Agreement is a single enterprise agreement.

[2]        I am satisfied that had an application been made under s.185 of the Act for the

approval of the Agreement as proposed to be varied, I would have been required to approve

the agreement under s.186 of the Act.

[3]        The variations to the Agreement are attached to this decision as Annexure A.

[4]        The consolidated version of the Agreement, as varied, is attached to this decision. In

accordance with s.216 of the Act the variation will operate on and from 24 March 2016.

This document sets out the proposed amendment to the Urbis Electrical Pty Ltd Enterprise

Agreement 2012 - 2016.

Employees are requested to consider these amendments prior to a vote to be taken.

Amendments

1. Clause 5.1.3: Payment of wages

This clause has been reworded to:

The wage rates set out in Schedule B will be adjusted by 1.75% from the first full pay period on or

after 1 July of each year.

2. Clause 5.1.4: Payment of wages

This clause has been reworded to:

The allowance rates set out in Schedule C will be adjusted annually on the 1 of July, by the quantum

increases determined for the Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award 2010 at

the previous year.

3. Clause 5.13: Communications Cabler Licence / Registration Allowance

This clause has been removed from the enterprise agreement.

4. Arrangement: Contents

The reference to Clause 5.13 in the arrangement (contents) has been removed to reflect
the deletion of the clause.
The reference to clause 7.2 Annual leave loading has been removed to reflect the
deletion of the clause.

5. Schedule C: Special Allowances:

The reference and allowance amount corresponding with Clause 5.13 has been removed
from the table contained in Schedule C to reflect the deletion of the clause.
The allowance rates in the table have been updated to reflect those of the current
Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award 2010, the table has been
changed as per the below:

6. Clause 5.1.9

This clause has been reworded to reflect that the hourly wage rates are now inclusive of
annual leave loading, as per below:
The wage rates in Schedule B are in compensation for all non-expense related allowances,
including but not limited to: industry allowance, tool allowance, electrical licence allowance,
travel time allowance and annual leave loading.

7. Clause 7.2 Annual Leave Loading

This clause has been removed from the agreement.
