1,050 ANNO VICESIMO QUINTO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 91 of 1976 An Act to amend the UrbanPassenger Service ProprietorsAssistanceAct 1975 in certain particulars_ [ASSENTED TO 17TH DECEMBER, 1976] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the UrbanPassenger Service Proprietors Assistance Act Amendment .¢ct 1976. (2) In this Act the Urban Passenger Service Proprie}ors Assistance Act 1975 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Urban Passenger Service Proprietors Assistance Act1975-1976. 2. Amendment of s. 17. Section 17 of the Principal Act is amended by adding at the end of the section the following subsection:- " (3) Where, pursuant to paragraph (c) of subsection (1), the Governor in Council approves a percentage he may in connexion with that approval specify a date that accords with this subsection as the date from which his approval is to be effective and in that event payments referred to in that paragraph may be made from the date so specified in an amount equal to the percentage so approved, due allowance being made on account of moneys already paid prior to the date of approval to the proprietor to whom the approval relates. A date specified by the Governor in Council- (a) may be before or after the date of approval; and (b) if it is before the date of approval, shall not be earlier than the date of commencement of this Act or a date that is twelve months before the date of approval, whichever date is the later.".
