Tertiary Education (Amendment) Act

The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows:

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Act is to extend the application of the requirement to provide information to the Minister for the purpose of planning and co-ordinating higher education.

2. Commencement

This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

3. Supply of information

(1) In section 5 of the Tertiary Education Act 1993,	No. 18/1993. Reprint No. 1
for "post-secondary education institution"	as at
substitute "prescribed institution".	7 November 1996. Further
(2) At the end of section 5 of the Tertiary Education	amended by
Nos 70/1997
Act 1993 insert—	and 80/1997.
'(2) In this section—

"prescribed institution" means—

(a)	a post-secondary education institution;
(b)	an institution in respect of which an Order under section 10(1A) is in force;
(c)	with section 11 confers or offers to confer a higher education award, or offers or conducts a course of study leading to the

4. Statute law revision

In section 15(1)(d) of the Tertiary Education
