Health Acts (Statute Law Revision) Act

[Assented to 28 April 1998]

The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows:

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Act is to make minor amendments to certain Acts.

2. Commencement

This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal assent.

3. Minor amendments

An Act specified in the heading to an item in the

Schedule is amended as set out in that item.

SCHEDULE

1. Chiropractors Registration Act 1996

In section 89, in the definition of "old Board", for

"Ostepaths" substitute "Osteopaths".

2. Dental Technicians Act 1972

In section 25(5), for "psychiatric in-patient service" substitute "approved mental health service".

3. Dentists Act 1972

In section 27(5), for "psychiatric in-patient service" substitute "approved mental health service".

4. Human Tissue Act 1982

4.1 In section 25, before "medical practitioner" (wherever

occurring) insert "registered".

4.2 In section 39(1A), for "section 55(3)" substitute "section

57(3)".

5. Infertility Treatment Act 1995

5.1 In section 95(2), for "to be a approved" substitute "to be
approved".

5.2 In section 100(1)(a), for "more that" substitute "more than".
