The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows:

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Act is to amend section 60 of the Transport Accident Act 1986.

2. Commencement

This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

3. Amendment to section 60

In section 60(1) of the Transport Accident Act as at 19 May

1986 for paragraphs (b) and (c) substitute—

1998 and subsequently amended by

"(b) if the person, during the period of one month Nos 78/1997,
preceding the accident, was engaged mainly 15/1998,
in housekeeping duties or the care of a child 46/1998, 52/1998 (as
and did not receive salary or wages in amended by

reasonable costs incurred after the accident 73/1998.
