Parliamentary Salaries and Superannuation Further Amendment Act 2011

The Parliament of Victoria enacts:

1Purpose

The purpose of this Act is to amend the Parliamentary Salaries and Superannuation Act 1968 to limit the increase in the salary payable to members of the Parliament of Victoria for the financial year beginning 1 July 2011 to 2·5%.

2Commencement

This Act is deemed to have come into operation on 1 July 2011.

3Amendment of section 3A

In section 3A of the Parliamentary Salaries and Superannuation Act 1968

(a)for "1 July 2009" substitute "1 July 2011";

(b)for "30 June 2009" substitute "30 June 2011".

4Repeal of amending Act

This Act is repealed on 1 July 2012.

Note

The repeal of this Act does not affect the continuing operation of the amendments made by it (see section 15(1) of the Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984).
