1  Name

This is the Biosecurity (Listed Human Diseases) Determination 2016.

2  Commencement

(1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under subsection 42(1) of the Biosecurity Act 2015.

4  Listed human diseases

Each of the following human diseases is a listed human disease:

(a)  human influenza with pandemic potential;

(b)  Middle East respiratory syndrome;

(c)  plague;

(d)  severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS);

(e)  smallpox;

(f)  viral haemorrhagic fevers;

(g)  yellow fever.
