  1. Name of Instrument

    This Instrument is the Broadcasting Services (Regional Commercial Radio — Specification of Periods for Subsections 43C(1A) and 61CD(2)) Instrument 2012.

  2. Commencement

    This Instrument commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

  3. Definitions

    In this Instrument:

    Act means the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.

    regional commercial radio broadcasting licence means a commercial radio broadcasting licence that has a regional licence area.

    Note: The following term used in this Instrument is defined in the Act and has the same meaning as in that Act: regional licence area.

  4. Periods under subsection 43C(1A) of the Act for specified licensees

    The period under subsection 43C(1A) for the holder of the regional commercial radio broadcasting licence listed in column 2 of  Schedule 1 is the period specified in column 3 of Schedule 1.

  5. Periods under subsection 61CD(2) of the Act for specified licensees

    The period under subsection 61CD(2) for the holder of the regional commercial radio broadcasting licence listed in column 2 of Schedule 2 is the period specified in column 3 of Schedule 2. 

  6. Recurring periods

    The periods specified in sections 4 and 5 of this Instrument are recurring periods.

    Note  A recurring period is the period specified in column 3 of Schedule 1 or Schedule 2 and occurring at the same time every twelve months.
