The Parliament of Victoria enacts:
1Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to amend the Borrowing and Investment Powers Act 1987 to remove the limits on financial accommodation that may be obtained by the Melbourne Water Corporation and the State Electricity Commission of Victoria.
2Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
3Amendment of the Borrowing and Investment Powers Act 1987
(1)Division 2A of Part 2 of the Borrowing and Investment Powers Act 1987 is repealed.
(2)In Schedule 1 to the Borrowing and Investment Powers Act 1987—
(a)in item 8, in Column 2, omit "11A,";
(b)in item 14, in Column 2, omit "11A,".
4Repeal of amending Act
This Act is repealed on the first anniversary of the day on which this Act comes into operation.
Note
The repeal of this Act does not affect the continuing operation of the amendments made by it (see section 15(1) of the Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984).
