Licence Area Plan – Remote Central and Eastern Australia Radio
(1)This plan for radio broadcasting services in the remote area of Central and Eastern Australia is made under section 26(1) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.
(2)One commercial radio broadcasting service is to be available in the remote area described at Attachment 1.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 are set out in Schedule One and Attachments 1.2 – 1.41 to this plan.
(3)Two commercial radio broadcasting services are to be available in the remote area described at Attachment 2.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 2.1 are set out in Schedule Two and Attachments 2.2 – 2.93 to this plan.
(4)One hundred and twelve national radio broadcasting services and thirteen open narrowcasting radio services are to be available in the remote areas described at Attachment 1.1 and Attachment 2.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the national radio broadcasting and open narrowcasting radio services that are to be available in the areas described at Attachment 1.1 and Attachment 2.1 are set out in Schedule Three and Attachments 3.2 – 3.126 to this plan.
(5)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the remote area described at Attachment 4.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 4.1 are set out in Schedule Four and Attachments 4.2 – 4.20 to this plan.
(6)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Ali Curung area described at Attachment 5.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 5.1 is set out in Schedule Five and Attachment 5.2 to this plan.
(7)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Amata area described at Attachment 6.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 6.1 is set out in Schedule Six and Attachment 6.2 to this plan.
(8)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Aurukun area described at Attachment 7.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 7.1 is set out in Schedule Seven and Attachment 7.2 to this plan.
(9)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Barunga area described at Attachment 8.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 8.1 is set out in Schedule Eight and Attachment 8.2 to this plan.
(10)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Bathurst Island area described at Attachment 9.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 9.1 is set out in Schedule Nine and Attachment 9.2 to this plan.
(11)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Beswick area described at Attachment 10.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 10.1 is set out in Schedule Ten and Attachment 10.2 to this plan.
(12)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Bulman area described at Attachment 11.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 11.1 is set out in Schedule Eleven and Attachment 11.2 to this plan.
(13)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Daguragu area described at Attachment 12. 1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 12.1 is set out in Schedule Twelve and Attachment 12.2 to this plan.
(14)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Doomadgee area described at Attachment 13.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. (15)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Ernabella area described at Attachment 14.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 14.1 is set out in Schedule Fourteen and Attachment 14.2 to this plan.
(16)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Finke area described at Attachment 15.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 15.1 is set out in Schedule Fifteen and Attachment 15.2 to this plan.
(17)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Fregon area described at Attachment 16.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. (18)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Galiwinku area described at Attachment 17.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. (19)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Gununa area described at Attachment 18.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 18.1 is set out in Schedule Eighteen and Attachment 18.2 to this plan.
(20)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Hermannsburg area described at Attachment 19.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 19.1 is set out in Schedule Nineteen and Attachment 19.2 to this plan.
(21)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Hope Vale area described at Attachment 20.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 20.1 is set out in Schedule Twenty and Attachment 20.2 to this plan.
(22)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Imanpa area described at Attachment 21.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. (24)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Kintore area described at Attachment 23.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. (25)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Kowanyama area described at Attachment 24.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. (26)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Lajamanu area described at Attachment 25.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. (29)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Milikapiti area described at Attachment 28.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. (30)One community radio broadcasting service is to be made available in the Milingimbi area described at Attachment 29.1 to this plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands.
