Road Safety (Vehicles) (Transfer of Registration
Fees) Regulations 2003
The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governors Deputy with the
advice of the Executive Council makes the following
Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 19991 to alter fees for the transfer of registration of vehicles.
2. Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.
3. Commencement
(1) These Regulations, other than regulation 5, come
into operation on 1 July 2003.
(2) Regulation 5 comes into operation on 1 January
2004.

4. Increase in fees for transfer of registration
In regulation 237(1) of the Road Safety (Vehicles)
Regulations 1999—
(a)
in paragraph (a), for "$12.50" substitute "$14.00";
(b)
in paragraph (b), for "$4.50" substitute "$5.00";
(c)
in paragraph (c), for "$25.00" substitute "$27.50".
5. Decrease in fees for transfer of registration
In regulation 237(1) of the Road Safety (Vehicles)
Regulations 1999—
(a)
in paragraph (a), for "$14.00" substitute "$12.50";
(b)
in paragraph (b), for "$5.00" substitute "$4.50";
(c)
in paragraph (c), for "$27.50" substitute "$25.00".
6. Expiry
These Regulations expire on 2 January 2004.
