Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (Fees)

(Amendment) Regulations 2003

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to increase
certain fees in the Victorian Civil and

Administrative Tribunal (Fees) Regulations 2001.

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 161 of
the Victorian Civil and Administrative

Tribunal Act 1998.

3. Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on
16 June 2003

4 Fees

(1) After regulation 4(3) of the Victorian Civil and

Administrative Tribunal Regulations 20011

insert—

"(4) For the purposes of section 132 of the Act,

the principal registrar may reduce a fee

payable if—

(a) a fee has been tendered to the principal registrar that is not less than the fee that was payable immediately before

16 June 2003; and

(b) the principal registrar considers that it would not be practicable in the circumstances to collect the fee payable in the Table.".

(2) In the Table to regulation 4 of the Victorian Civil

and Administrative Tribunal (Fees) Regulations

2001—

(a) in Part A—

(i) in item 2, for "$30" substitute "$31";

(ii) in item 3, for "$125" substitute "$129";

(iii)  in item 3A, for "$170" substitute "$175";

(iv) in item 4, for "$250" substitute "$257";

(v) in item 5, for "$500" substitute "$515";

(vi)  in item 6, for "$1000" substitute "$1030";

(vii) in item 7, for "$250" substitute "$258";

5. Revocation

Regulation 4(4) of the Victorian Civil and
Administrative Tribunal (Fees) Regulations 2001

is revoked on 16 September 2003.
