Road Safety (Vehicles) (Concession Fees) Regulations 2004

The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's Deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999[1] to alter fees for the registration of vehicles.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986.

3.Commencement

(1)These Regulations, other than regulation 5, come into operation on 1 July 2004.

(2)Regulation 5 comes into operation on 1 January 2005.

4.Registration fee for vehicle registered in the name of an eligible beneficiary or spouse or domestic partner

In item 11 in the Table to Schedule 4 to the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999, in column 2, for "nil" substitute "50% base fee".

5.Removal of registration fee for vehicle registered in the name of an eligible beneficiary or spouse or domestic partner

In item 11 in the Table to Schedule 4 to the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999, in column 2, for "50% base fee" substitute "nil".

6.Expiry

These Regulations expire on 2 January 2005.
